Strategic Partners
of the International Mentoring Association

The International Mentoring Association (IMA)is always seeking to establish short and long-term strategic partnerships and alliances with other organizations that have similar or partially overlapping strategic goals in common with the IMA.

Potential partners believe mentoring is a positive force for human development and are seeking in some geographic place, industry niche, or segment of people to support the use of effective mentoring programs and practices.

The benefit of such partnerships is that we can do more together than we can separately, by carefully planning our joint efforts and aligning our resources and time to focus on the area of commonality.

If you represent another organization, agency, company, or professional association that is, at least in part of its work, interested in mentoring, contact IMA now to discuss ways that we can collaborate.

The expertise of the IMA can help you more effectively achieve your goals in mentoring as an organization and for your members or employees.

Through IMA, your members are provided an additional level of support beyond what you can provide yourself, and they will discover the power of the expert mentoring support and guidance IMA provides.

What's the difference between a sponsor and a donor?

A SPONSOR is a person or organization who contributes financial support or in-kind support to IMA for a specific purpose.

For example, a sponsor could be a person supporting a New Member Reception at the annual conference. A sponsor could also be an organization which decides to financially support the salary of a part-time Executive Director for IMA, or an business that develops and sells software which IMA needs and which provides a free copy of that software to IMA.

A DONOR is a person or organization which contributes financial support to IMA but without naming a specific purpose and leaving it to the Board of Directors of IMA to determine when and how best to use the gift.

For example, a donor could be a person who gives an undesignated cash gift to IMA which the Board decides to use to bring in a big name keynote speaker or to provide a scholarship to help a needy person attend an IMA event to get the professional development and mentoring they need.
